About 10 years ago a gaming friend of mine recommended I buy Talisman. He explained the fact that there were expansion sets for it and I was really intrigued. On my next trip to the local hobby shop I milled over all of the Talisman stuff and decided to buy just the game itself. A week later i had The Expansion Set, The Adventure and Timescape. Needless to say I was hooked. I always enjoyed playing D&D with my friends but, I grew tired of all the drama and baggage that came with RPG's. Don't get me wrong, I like Role-Playing, most campaigns just left me exhausted. This is why I think Talisman is so great. Everyone gets equal time to find cool things, fight monsters and encounter a variety of different fantasy elements. Talisman had replaced D&D and many other games that lasted for weeks and months. There was only one problem... I needed more. I still didn't have Dungeon or City. It seemed no hobby shop in a 100 mile radius carried them. I looked for about 3 years and then I struck gold. I was vacationing in Colorado and I found a great game store in the Springs. I found both sets and nearly passed out from shock! I wasn't even looking for them! I guess I was trying too hard. I am much more relaxed about things like this now but, I have a problem... I don't have The Dragons! Must... remain... calm. I have been a buyer and a seller of comic books and games for some time on the EBAY auction web site. I have seen Talisman: The Dragons sell for a couple hundred dollars. I am confident I will find it for far less.
