After an "interesting" year, I decided that I deserved a selfish treat and could think of no better way for a Talisman Geek than having my Revised 4th Edition miniatures "pro painted" by someone who can do them justice.
It didn't take a great leap to settle on Steve Dean for the job, whose work has featured on Talisman Island for a while in the Miniatures section, mainly for his dabblings with 2nd Edition figures. Thankfully he had a sufficient gap in his schedule to fit in the miniatures produced so far for FFG's version of the game!
You can see much more of Steve's fabulous work over at his site and follow discussions at the forums there -
Steve kindly agreed to take some work in progress shots of the process, and there are a few examples of the entire process from bare mini to final result after each colour was added so you can appreciate the work that goes into painting a mini. They might also offer a few hints to visitors who fancy undertaking the task themselves.
If you click on a thumbnail underneath those miniatures, you can then navigate through the pictures for the miniature in question by holding your cursor over the right or left of the picture to move to the next or previous image.
I think you will agree that Steve has done a stunning job on the miniatures, despite the problems that working with softer plastics can present, as opposed to hard plastics, resin or metals.
I have split the images into a few pages as the image load was a little high for just one gallery page. Newly painted miniatures will be added to new pages as expansions are released.
