I have been playing roleplaying, board and computer games for...well a long time, my favourites having included Heroes Unlimited, Talisman, AD&D 2nd edition, the Baldurs Gate series (and basically anything by Interplay), the Sim games and the Civilization series

What it says
Heroes Unlimited was one of the later entries into the superhero roleplaying market back in the 80's but in my opinion one of the best. I added my own powers and skills which have changed constantly over the years. I ran 5 campaigns over the years, all of a similar nature based on the Marvel Universe. I ran out of ideas each time finally deciding I couldn't do anymore with each one and just abandoned them. Then several years later around '95 several things happened; first Image comics did the Team 7 comic which gave me ideas for an entirely new perspective on the superhero world. Secondly upon telling a friend of mine about this title he shoved my face into one of the covers of the now defunct Suicide Squad issues, more ideas! Finally Champions had been relaunched around this time, now while I didn't really like their rule system they were well known to me for producing excellent sourcebooks. Then Champions Universe came out; a book which gave details on every country and organization on the Champions' Earth. The comics and the Champions books together gave me the new Heroes campaign which started in '96 and only wrapped up in 2001. In that time it also created a spin off 'Justice Unlimited'; my 1930's campaign borrowing heavily from Justice Inc, Dark Justice, Tintin, Doc Savage, Indiana Jones, Cthulu, etc for adventures Palladium Section

Talisman was a Games Workshop board game which came out some years ago. The idea was to pick a character and use its abilities to survive the numerous dangers in the game, find a Talisman and then become powerful enough to enter the inner region and fight your way to the Crown of Command for final victory. Its scope of character development made it more than a normal board game but not quite a roleplaying game. Recently I created and ran a campaign based on the Talisman world and characters while using the AD&D 2nd edition system including the Options rules. These rules worked slightly differently in that each character receives a certain amount of points to then spend on special abilities as he/she sees fit.
