Templar - White Dwarf #115

The "Early Medieval" collection from Foundry came up trumps again for the Templar miniature, as it was just about the only knight I had seen who was carrying his helmet.

As mentioned before, this blister was very useful indeed, as it also had the figure for the King's Champion conversion.

The Foundry website features these and many more figures for all sorts of periods -

Firstly I sawed the top of his helm off (gently!) and filed it down. Then taking the top of the flat helmed knight from the pack I used Green Stuff to smooth it all out.

The Empire sprues in my bits box was the donor for the head, which I think shows a much better emotion for his stance.

Finally removing his arm and repositioning it the figure was then ready for painting and basing, giving the finished figure you can see below, ready to join the Crusades!
