In the run up to the release of the reprinted Talisman 3rd Edition in 2003, Game Trade Magazine had printed some old characters from White Dwarf in GTM#37 – The Swordsman and the Vampire.
They were to do a follow up in the next issue, but due to time and constraints of space they could not. However, Andrew Smith at the magazine sent me details of the miniatures that they were intending to use and I decided to mock them up as “semi-official” cards.
Andrew linked me to an image on the Games Workshop site featuring TWO Dark Elf Corsairs, but did not actually specify which particular miniature was to represent the Dark Elf. After a bit of consideration, I think that Dark Elf Corsair 2 (Sword Right), rather than Dark Elf Corsair 3 (Sword High) is probably the better option as it slots into the available space without having to crop the image. On the other hand, the fact that the sword is held high on the second figure blends well with many of the miniatures from 3rd Edition… The choice is yours!
