The Dude of Darkness

Josh Pattison (Zozimus from the FFG forums) posted about his project of making some board NPC miniatures for the Revised 4th Edition of Talisman, starting with the Lord of Darkness from Talisman: The Dungeon expansion, and took some useful shots of the work in progress!

The base figure that he used as his "victim" is Murkillor the Wraith King, from the Dark Heaven Legends series of figures from Reaper Miniatures.

His bits box was raided for the required spikey bits and pieces to make shoulder pads, and a suitable shield for the Lord of Darkness. It doesn't have the same design, but it does match really well with the Lord's helmet.

Next, using a goodly amount of "green stuff", he set about bulking out his helmet with that sinister grin, whilst adding a plastic plume to match the artwork on the box.

After putting it all together, and giving him a very cool paint job, you can see the results of his work below. There is also another image with him in front of Ralph Horsley's amazing artwork. I think there is a very good likeness!!

Josh has a few more ideas, and given some time I am sure there will be more to show. Perhaps the Eagle King might be paying a visit before long!
