Hello there! It’s been a little while since the last update, but I hope that this one will be a nice one to restart some regular news going forward!
David Fox let me know that the store page at BigBadToyStore for the upcoming Talisman: Harry Potter Edition from The Op had been updated with more images, and the date appears to have now slipped from July to August, though I have seen other listing that quote September, so who knows with the current global shipping issues!
It seems we get to roam through the entire Harry Potter world on the board (which looks a bit more square than usual!), with the Crown of Command being replaced by the Great Hall of Hogwarts.
Only 9 characters this time around, with 1 of them being Voldemort (BOOOO!), so I guess he’s another Reaper-esque NPC in the game. The playing pieces looks rather swish though, so they should be easy enough to add to with homebrews if you should so wish.
The contents also list 2 Ferret cards, so do you perhaps get turned into one? My HP knowledge isn’t too good, so you’ll have to let me know if that’s a thing!?
No doubt I’ll rustle up a ‘look-a-like’ character card in the mean time so stay tuned for that.
In other news, some of you may be aware that I’m going to be coming off most forms of social media apart from Twitter, however the Instagram and Facebook page accounts will be taken over by my Talisman-fan daughter Katie, who will also take over the adminship of the Talisman Boardgame Discussion Group over on Facebook.
Obviously I’ll be keeping abreast of general things through Katie, but I really have to step away for a while and hopefully this means I can get back to posting regular updates via the site, rather than just quick posts on Facebook which don’t reach everyone.
So it’ll be back to the olden days for me of regular email, web searches and Twitter and I won’t be stuck doom-scrolling on my phone all day (and night!)
I’ll announce when the cut off happens, but I hope you will all help Katie with her new found POWER!!!!!
